About us

The Greater Seattle Soccer League has been involved with soccer for over 100 years.  The league was originally called the Washington State Soccer League.  In it’s early years it mainly comprised of ethnic groups but was evolved into mostly mainstream American teams now.  As the game grew in popularity, the Washington State Soccer Association was formed and the League changed its name to avoid confusion.  The Greater Seattle Soccer League plays year round with varying numbers of teams each season, usually 150 to 200 teams per season.  There are several age groups of players (Open, 30 and over, 40 and over, 50 and over as well as 55 and over) with up to six divisions within the groups.  The teams are compromised of people from many backgrounds and various degrees of playing ability.  The League has teams from as far north as Everett/Snohomish, south to Tacoma, east to Issaquah and west to Kitsap County.  Although we provide mainly for teams, we also attempt to place individual players looking for teams as well.

The Greater Seattle Soccer League is a 501c7 non-profit corporation.
